Cybersecurity Cases Rises by 82.5%

Nowadays, cyberattacks are becoming a big problem for organizations all around the world. Some of the cyberattacks have largely affected the organizations, and some of them have also led to the closure of organizations. The higher usage of technology by the organizations and a greater number of people being online leads to increased risk of running into cyber threats. The COVID-19 pandemic leads most of the people to shift from organization to work-from-home (WFH). During this pandemic, the cybersecurity cases have spiked by a whopping 82.5% as compared to last year. For example, a total of 838 incidents were being reported to cybersecurity Malaysia between March 18 and April 7. Among this total of 838 cyber incidents, 152 cases involved local users while the remaining 686 cyber incidents involved the home users working-from-home (WFH). This represents a huge increase in the number of cyber incidents, as compared to last year.

In accordance with it, recently the Cyble Research Unit (CRU) detected and then shared around 201 websites which had been hacked in the last one week. On an average every month, Cyble reports over 1000 unreported data breaches. Looking all this and planning for secure future for the organizations, Cyble not only holds the largest data breach monitoring search engine that holds over 30 billion darkweb records but also provides the services which include enabling faster detection of cyber threats via Cyble Vision and providing clear visibility to third-party cyber threats and risks via their Third-Party Cyber Risk Intelligence Platform. It is believed that organizations should start focus on improving their system’s security to prevent themselves from being affected by such cyberattacks and then landing into dreadful situations.
